Fedor Holz
Rainer Kempe
became the champion of the 2016 Super High Roller Bowl after defeating his fellow countryman Fedor Holz
. Kempe took home a $5,000,000 prize while Fedor, who has become one of the big names of the industry, took $3,500,000 dollars.
Both players took $8.5 million dollars while the rest of the final table, all of them Americans, took 45% of the prizepool. Big names such as Daniel Negreanu
y Jason Mercier
, Dan Colman
, Doug Polk
, Antonio Esfandieri
, Brian Rast
, Scott Seiver
and Timofey “Trueteller” Kuznetsov
arrived to Las Vegas trying to win the event but none of them cashed.
On the other hand Dan Shak
, Bryn Kenney
, Matt Berkley
, Erik Seidel
and Phil Hellmuth
joined the Germans at the final table. The first eliminated was Shak who was also the last «amateur» player alive, he was followed by Kenney a few minutes later.
Hellmuth and his fourteen bracelets left the room in fourth place while Seidel, another high-stakes legend, left the room in third place. Fedor started the duel with a big disadvantage but managed to double up altough this didn’t help when he was eliminated in second place.
