Two matches were played yesterday at the Global Poker League Summer Series. First Mustapha Kanit defeated three times Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody . Later, Pascal Lefrancois did the same with bracelet winner Davidi Kitai .

With Kanit’s victory the Rome Emperors leave the last position in the EuroAsia Conference. They are now fifth but still have a long way up if they want to play the playoffs.

On the other hand the Montreal Nationals seem unstoppable with 130 points while the Las Vegas Moneymakers remain in the bottom of the Americas Conference.

Today the action continues when Joao Bauer from the Sao Paulo Mets faces Sergey Lebedev from the Moscow Wolverines.
