Final Table
Italian player Mustapha Kanit
started the final table of the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Dublin 25K High Roller as chip leader, a lead he protected until the end of the tournament. Kanit defeated Chance Kornuth
for a €501.640 prize.
This is the third time Chance reach the final table of a high roller tournament on three different continents in 2016. Kornuth was down 2 to 1 but doubled when he cracked Kanit’s pocket kings. Unfotunately for the American player he later called with an ace against Mustapha’s pocket threes enough to finish as the tournament runner-up.
With this championship, Mustapha remains as Italy’s all time money leader. The event registered 70 entries for a €1.715.000 to become the biggest buy-in tournament held in Ireland.
