Altough there were three players from France trying to win the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Main Event title, Slovakia’s Jan Bendik
was the champion. The 51 year old player defeated Adrien Allain
for a €961,800 prize and the trophy.
Despite being his first ever title at the Main Event, Bendik is a former EPT Player of the Year and he almost never looses a heads-up battle. He didn’t want to make a deal and the main reason for that was that he was confident on winning the title.
