Dominican player Francis Cruz won the 6-Max event of the Punta Cana Poker Classic for a $8,069 prize. Cruz, known online as NoHayMiedo* -Spanish for ThereIsNoFear- defeated Corey Paggeot to become the only latin champion of the festival.

Corbin White (3° – $3,520), Jaime Farriol (5° – $1,985), Nicolas Malandre (7° – $1,325) and Jeffrey Cormier (8° – $1,055) were among the players that cashed. The event registered 145 entries for a $3,089 prizepool shared among the first fifteen places of the tournament.
