El World Poker Tour anunció la agenda completa del WPT World Championship Series a jugarse íntegro en el Wynn de Las Vegas , con 78 eventos (incluidos torneos y satélites) que se disputarán en 21 días del 2 al 22 de diciembre. Una especie de WSOP más corta para cerrar el año haciendo volar las fichas en la mejor ciudad para jugar al poker.

El festival volverá a girar en torno a dos grandes torneos: el WPT World Championship, con una entrada de US$10.400 (del 13 al 21 de diciembre), y el WPT Prime Championship, de US$1.100 (del 7 al 12 de diciembre). Por segundo año consecutivo, el Evento Principal del festival ha optado por renunciar a la garantía tras no alcanzar por poco el ambicioso objetivo de los US$40 millones en el 2024. El WPT Prime Championship sí contará con un asegurado 5 millones.

“El Campeonato Mundial WPT en el Wynn Las Vegas sigue evolucionando y se ha convertido en un evento imprescindible para los jugadores”, afirmó Adam Pliska, director ejecutivo del WPT. “Desde satélites hasta nuevos torneos de apuestas medias de renombre, pasando por certámenes high stakes, los jugadores encontrarán un valor incalculable, además de un ambiente y una experiencia inigualables en uno de los recintos más prestigiosos del mundo”, agregó.

Otros eventos destacados incluyen el Ladies Championship de US$250.000 garantizados y US$1.100 el buy-in (del 13 al 14 de diciembre); el Seniors Championship de US$1.100 (del 18 al 20 de diciembre); el Seniors High Roller de US$10.000 (del 20 al 22 de diciembre) y dos High Rollers de US$25.800 (del 17 al 18 y 18 al 19 de diciembre).

Hay otros eventos de gran envergadura planificados con grandes garantías, entre ellos:

• Evento inaugural con entrada de US$800 y US$1 millón GTD (del 2 al 6 de diciembre)
• Entrada de US$1.600, US$1 millón GTD (del 5 al 7 de diciembre)
• Entrada de US$1.600, US$1 millón GTD (del 20 al 22 de diciembre)
• Entrada de US$3.000, US$3 millones GTD (del 18 al 20 de diciembre)

En cuanto a las novedades para 2025, el WPT destacó las siguientes ofertas:

• Mystery Bounty de US$1.600 de PLO (del 7 al 8 de diciembre)
• US$1.600 NLH US$1 millón GTD (del 12 al 13 de diciembre, con un solo vuelo inicial)
• US$1.100 NLH US$2 millones GTD (del 16 al 19 de diciembre)
• Oferta ampliada de juegos mixtos, que incluye una docena de torneos relacionados con PLO, HORSE, TORSE, Omaha eight-or-better, Big O, OE y eventos lowball mixtos
